Texas Water Development Board- Major Rivers

Purpose: 
To educate fourth and fifth-grade children on Texas' waters and their important role in providing for the state's water resource needs.
Description: 
The Major River curriculum consists of a teacher's guide, workbooks, posters, handouts, and leaflets to educate students on water resources in Texas. The host, Major Rivers, and his horse, Aquifer, will expose students to the topics of water treatment, distribution, extraction, and stewardship. The curriculum contains eight lessons- seven main lessons and one review lesson. The workbooks, handout, and leaflets are available in English and Spanish.
