Sustainable SITES Initiative

The Sustainable SITES Initiative (SITES) recognizes projects that exhibit excellence in sustainable land design and landscaping. Eligible projects do not have to involve buildings and range from national parks to corporate campuses to streetscapes to homes. SITES evaluates projects based on categories including pre-design assessment and planning, water, soil and vegetation, operations and maintenance, and education and performance monitoring. The system offers four rating levels - Certified, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.
