The Home Energy Yardstick provides users with insights their home's energy use in the categories of heating and cooling, appliances, lighting, and hot water. The score is on a scale of 0 to 10 with 10 representing a home that used less energy over the last 12 months and performed well compared to its peers. The report also includes recommendations to improve the home's score, increase comfort, and lower utility bills as well as an estimate of annual carbon emissions.
