Electric Vehicles North Texas

Electric Vehicles North Texas

Purpose:
Electric Vehicles North Texas (EVNT) is the electric vehicles (EV) subcommittee of the Dallas-Fort Worth Clean Cities (DFWCC) Coalition.
Description:
EVs, which produce zero tailpipe emissions, are a critical component of the comprehensive strategy to reduce both petroleum consumption and ozone pollution. EVNT provides resources, data, and networking opportunities in order to reduce barriers to EV adoption and EV supply equipment (EVSE) installation in the North Texas Region. Resources include Fact Sheets to summarize important EV-related information, presentations on the status of the EV market in Texas, details and support for obtaining funding for EV or EVSE purchases/installation, and much more. Stakeholders, including city staff, fleet managers/representatives, EV industry representatives, and passionate EV owners, meet throughout the year to discuss regulatory obstacles, participate in opportunities to promote EVs at public events, plan the regional National Drive Electric Week celebration, and make critical connections with others interested in supporting EV deployment in Texas.
