City Efficiency Toolkit
City Efficiency Toolkit
Purpose:
The City Efficiency Toolkit is designed to help local governments, school districts, and other public entities save money by providing resources on how to develop or build upon an energy efficiency program.
Description:
Many public entities want to reduce their water and energy consumption but are often unsure where to start or what resources are available. The City Efficiency Toolkit provides guidelines, best practices, and resources on how to develop cost-effective energy efficiency programs and initiatives for a variety of local governments, school districts, and public entities. In coordination with the City Efficiency Leadership Council, the South-central Partnership for Energy Efficiency as a Resource (SPEER) came up with a list of best practices that users can access through the toolkit. Topics include: energy benchmarking, PACE financing, city project financing, swimming pool efficiency for cities, and communicating the value of energy efficiency.
