Mapping tool that combines different datasets to help identify which communities are disadvantaged and will benefit from programs included in the Justice40 initiative.
Description:
The Climate and Economic Justice Screening Tool (CEJST) is a mapping tool that combines eight different data sets that are indicators of burdens in communities: climate change, energy, health, housing, legacy pollution, transportation, water and wastewater, and workforce development. Using this information, the tool identifies which communities are overburdened and underserved, making them disadvantaged. This can help users identify which disadvantaged communities would benefit from programs under the Justice40 Initiative.
