Clean Fleet Policy
Purpose:
The purpose of the Clean Fleet Policy, an initiative of the DFW Clean Cities Coalition, is to outline relevant goals and provide workable, cost-effective solutions to reduce emissions from local fleets as well as support regional efforts to attain federal air quality standards in the North Central Texas Region.
Description:
As of May 2022, 90 entities have adopted the revised Clean Fleet Policy. Adoption ensures eligibility for clean vehicle funding made available through the Regional Transportation Council (RTC) and fleet recognition from the Dallas-Fort Worth Clean Cities Coalition. Also, the Clean Fleet Policy is part of the Metropolitan Transportation Plan Policy bundle initiative which facilitates an offset of local funds in federal transportation projects.
