Vision North Texas is a public-private partnership with the goal of increasing public awareness about important regional land use issues that affect mobility, air quality, water supply and other economic and environmental resources.
The Wastewater and Treatment Education Roundtable (WATER)'s goal is to help reduce potential damage to the region's household plumbing systems and wastewater treatment systems as well as to decrease hazards to water quality through educational efforts related to the proper disposal of items such as wipes; paper towels; feminine hygiene and personal care products; medicines; household hazardous waste; and fats, oils, and grease (FOG).
The Water Use Tracking Tools help commercial and institutional facility managers as well as utilities track water use over time and analyze the data monthly to identify seasonal water use patterns, leaks, high-water-use or malfunctioning equipment or other issues at a facility.
Informed by a stakeholder-led design process, the Blue Hole Regional Park aims to protect and enhance the site's ecologically sensitive areas. the park offers an enhanced swimming hole, an extensive interpretive education program, sustainable features, and active recreation amenities for thousands of annual visitors.
